Kendall Jackson 17th Annual Heirloom Tomato Festival September 28, 2013
If you love tomatoes and wine, this is the event for you! Each year the Kendall Jackson Winery in Sonoma County puts together this big celebration and tribute to heirloom tomatoes. Actually Kendall Jackson has a farm on their vineyard where they grow over 200+ varieties of tomatoes and you get to taste each one of them at the festival along with wine and food from various vendors who are featuring tomatoes in their dishes.
We were inspired this year to make a Mapo Tofu dish for the festival using our Srirachup (you can get the recipe from our Recipe section). The sweetness of the early girl tomatoes in our Srirachup paired with a slight spicy kick of our Sriracha gives this traditional Chinese dish a new twist. Come and taste it yourself!
